1. Struggles in the Beginning

   When I first started my business online in 2014, I faced numerous challenges. My website looked terrible, and I couldn't generate any sales. Financial constraints made it difficult for me to hire someone to help me. I turned to YouTube, where I found inspiration from a few individuals who provided valuable tips and advice, completely free of charge.

2. Finding Inspiration on YouTube

   These YouTube influencers played a significant role in shaping my understanding of making money online and redesigning websites. Their guidance and knowledge inspired me to pay it forward and create helpful how-to videos. I wanted to share what I had learned with others, especially those who couldn't afford professional assistance.

3. Getting Traction and Explosive Growth

   By 2015, I started gaining some traction on my website. The following year, my business, called Cards and Collectibles R Us, really took off. I received around 10,000 online orders, a milestone I was proud of. It was an exciting time, but with success came an overwhelming workload that eventually led to burnout.

4. Dealing with Burnout and Recovery

   Working full-time while managing my online business took its toll. I barely had time to eat lunch and would spend every spare moment shipping orders and working late into the night. Despite the rewards, burnout was inevitable. To recuperate, I took a trip to Bali in 2017. It was there that I met someone who shared my passion for redesigning websites and making money online. This encounter sparked a new idea in my mind.

5. Discovering the Fun in Building Websites

   One of the most enjoyable aspects of my Shopify journey was building websites. It felt like playing with adult Lego bricks. This experience inspired me to start sharing my knowledge and helping others by teaching them how to build their own Shopify websites. I began to contemplate starting a new venture that combined my skills and passion.

6. Making the Decision to Start a Business

   As I pondered whether to take the leap into entrepreneurship, I faced a difficult choice. I already had a secure job as a supervisor for a well-known company. Leaving my job meant taking a risk and potentially losing the stability and financial security it provided. However, my passion for website redesigning and helping others outweighed my fears.

7. Ups and Downs of the Journey

   The first 18 months of my new business, Inspire Small Business, were filled with ups and downs. It was a challenging and uncertain period. However, approximately six months ago, everything started to change for the better. I had put in a year's worth of hard work, even during the rocky moments. Despite making mistakes along the way, I remained determined.

8. Receiving Recognition from Shopify

   At a critical juncture when I was contemplating giving up, Shopify reached out to me. They noticed the immense value I provided through my abundant free content, including over a thousand video reviews of Shopify websites. Impressed by my dedication and expertise, Shopify made me one of their experts. Several clients even left video reviews, which significantly boosted my business.

9. Achieving Success and Overcoming Doubt

   It's astonishing to reflect on my journey. From nearly losing my house to consistently making over $10,000 in monthly profit, my determination and hard work paid off. There were moments when I almost gave up, but I pressed on, giving it my all. If there's one thing I learned, it's that success often arrives when you least expect it. Even if your current endeavor doesn't work out, the knowledge and experience gained will lay the foundation for future success.
